A Whistler Blackcomb Snowboard Engagement Adventure!

We left Vancouver early in the morning, packed with gear, layers, and quiet excitement. After more than two hours on the road, we arrived at Whistler Blackcomb, one of British Columbia’s most iconic winter landscapes.

We parked at the Westin, changed into formalwear in the back of the car, and began our climb—first by foot, then by gondola, all the way to the summit.

📸 Behind the Scenes

This shoot wasn’t easy.

  • We carried full camera gear, formal clothes, and snow boots up the mountain.

  • I shot entirely while standing on steep, icy terrain—no chance to kneel or brace myself.

  • The bride couldn’t sit down; we had to find ways to pose her while keeping her steady and safe.

  • Every step, every frame, every adjustment took double the time and triple the effort.

But we did it.

And somehow, we even got cheers and well-wishes from people passing on skis or riding the gondola above us.

✨ The Moments That Made It Worthwhile

✔️ We found breathtaking backdrops with clean lines and untouched snow.✔️ We captured motion—shots of the couple skiing together, mid-glide, in perfect formation.✔️ We fought off the cold, balanced gear on uneven slopes, and made magic under fleeting pockets of sun.

It was exhausting. It was freezing. And it was one of the most rewarding engagement sessions I’ve ever photographed.

If you’re ready to trade a little comfort for a lot of beauty,I’d be honored to help you turn a snowy mountain into part of your love story.
