To celebrate their ten-year anniversary, Serena chose something quiet, curated, and full of soul —a slow afternoon at a vintage Italian eatery tucked away in Vancouver’s historic Chinatown.

🎨 The Visual Language
What made this shoot stand out visually? Three key elements:
Warm golden florals — roses, tulips, carnations in amber and soft ochre
A deep navy background — textured walls, rich shadows, timeless ambiance
Cinematic film tones — my color grading leaned into softness and depth, inspired by vintage Kodak palettes
The contrast between the warm florals and the cool-toned restaurant interior created a balanced tension — bold, elegant, and quietly dramatic.
